“We have worked very closely together on buildings and sites that are either National Historic Sites or are classified or recognized by FHBRO. Our first project was the restoration of the West Block on Parliament Hill where we worked on the conservation and upgrade of original wood windows, stained glass windows, monumental entrance doors and the wrought iron roof cresting. Another project was the restoration and thermal upgrade of over a thousand wood windows at the Confederation building. […] Walid brings a sound conservation approach to his projects. From a material science perspective he has a sound knowledge of wood and metal conservation. From a building science point of view he brings a sound knowledge of window systems and how they are best conserved and thermally upgraded. I have found Walid to be exceptionally well organized and to be a great communicator. He has always dealt with issues in a fair and timely manner.”
